All About Mrs. Constantino
Education
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University. I have a Multiple Subject Credential with a Supplementary Authorization in English.
Teaching Experience
I have been blessed to have been a teacher for 25 years. The first four years, I taught first grade at Brooklyn Elementary School in San Diego, the same school three generations of my family attended! From there, I moved on to Temecula Valley Charter School, where I taught first and second grades for the next seven years. I spent one year at Barnett Elementary as a second/third grade teacher, and returned to Temecula Valley Charter School as a middle school teacher. I spent five years in middle school, primarily teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. Since then, I have made the move to Tony Tobin Elementary, where I am currently teaching fifth grade and loving it!
Background Information & Hobbies
Before becoming an educator, I taught dance for the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department for eight years. I LOVE tap dancing and all things related to the Arts! I like to be creative, whether it is writing poetry, painting, or attempting to play piano. . .all of my hobbies involve creativity in some manner. I also love reading! Two of my favorite authors are Ray Bradbury. . .I can't get enough of his novels Something Wicked This Way Comes and Fahrenheit 451!. . .and Edgar Allan Poe. Three of my all time favorite places on earth are Balboa Park (I love walking through park and reminiscing. . .it reminds me of my grandma), the San Diego Zoo (I like visiting the gorillas and all of the big cats), and the Hotel Del Coronado (the views and atmosphere are spectacular).
